Hehe... I knew that was gonna be asked, but I wanted to get back to working on it. ^^;
True romance, the simple love between two people has been deemed illegal by the government. Those who are caught falling in love with someone not chosen for them are given the death penalty for it. So those who find themselves in love go to the extreme to either hide it or deny it to themselves.
Complete strangers are matched up for their genetic codes, being forced to marry and procreate in order to one day create the ultimate race. (Some are actually fortunate enough to fall in love with each other, but very few.)
Unfortunately, children who are born with genetic deficiencies are immediately tossed into a laboratory to rot away. Some, though, are given enough medicine by the doctors in charge of them to "fix" them and make them suitable to return to their parents.
A rebel faction with wishes to take down the government that limits them so is getting stronger while somehow still staying incognito. The group is made up by both people wanted for their illegal love and married individuals who want out of the laws that bind them.
